Kauai Humane Society

Welcome The Kauai Humane Society, a society for the prevention of cruelty to animals (SPCA), was incorporated in 1952. We are an independent and private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization directed by a committed board of community professionals. We are dedicated to ensuring compassionate, informed care of all Kauai's animals and promoting the human-animal bond. We provide a number of services to our community, including animal boarding, quarantine of animals brought over from the mainland, spay/neuter and ID programs, adoption services, and outreach programs that educate about animal laws and population control. Right next to the shelter is a dog park where you can let your dog run off leash, and in downtown Lihue, we have a thrift shop with the best deals in town!
