| - Saturday, July 31, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: New Volunteer Orientation
- Come make a difference for the animals and have fun too! Positions include dog buddy, cat cuddler, front desk assistant, vet assistant, foster parent, special events and PALS (Pets Are Loving Support) program volunteer. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. If you prefer not to be around the animals and still want to help, consider volunteering at our thrift store across from McDonald's in Lihue. For more information, call 632-0610, ext. 102.

- First Thursday of each month. Kauai Hospice Conference Room, 4457 Pahee St, Lihue. Pets are our companions and an important and engaging member of the family. The loss of a pet can result in the same grieving process as losing someone close to us. We understand the feelings generated when a pet dies are real and deserve the same respect as if it were any other family member . Space is limited - please call early! Caroline, 245-7277 ext. 22.

- The Kauai Humane Society is coming to your neighborhood for FREE cat neuters, spays and microchips! Drop your cat off (in a carrier, please) at our Aloha for Animal bus between 8 and 10 AM and pick up between 2 and 4 PM. Click here for our island-wide schedule.

- 6-week series of classes begins @ the Shelter. Fun with agility and some off-lead work will take you and your dog to the next step! Dogs should have had basic training and need to be able to sit and down on request and walk on lead. Class fee is $45. Click here for details!
