Humane Education Department
Critter Camp This fun and instructive two session program uses classroom activities, individual group projects, arts and crafts, guest speakers and creative projects to teach children about care and their humane responsibilities towards animals. A large part of the daily curriculum will include hands on interaction of the Humane Society shelter animals, particularly daily training of our shelter dogs and socializing our cats. We will explore various ways animals communicate and behave both in the wild and in our homes. Studies will include how our daily actions can impact our fragile island. The enrollment for Critter camp is only $150.00 per child with full and partial scholarships available. Space is limited and will come on a first come, first served basis. Check the calendar of events to see when the next class starts, fill out the registration form and come join in on the fun!
